This Saturday, April 25th, had one of the most motivated volunteer groups (representing both Habitat Young Professionals and Hands on Charlotte), allowing us to finish the roof sheathing almost 4 hours before the assigned deadline – sincerest thanks to all who came, and I hope to see you at the next event! Home ownership is one of the most essential aspects of a successful and enduring community and volunteers just like you help make working families realize this dream – great job!

Bring your friends and join us for this month’s HYPC build day in Charlotte, NC! Habitat Young Professionals will be doing sheathing and 15-20 volunteer are needed. Thanks to all who came to support Habitat for Humanity, Charlotte, on Saturday, January 31st! It always surprises me how many volunteers give up their warm beds for a cold morning of brisk and often painful labor. Of course, I never heard anyone complain, and it’s incredibly motivating.
This Saturday had one of the biggest turn outs yet, with participants from several corporations and local banks (Bank of America, Wachovia, etc.) – that’s exactly the type of support that this organization needs the most in light of current economical developments. …
