This Saturday, May 20th, we had a really great turn-out at the Habitat for Humanity Charlotte Young Professionals build event, allowing us to finish the dry-walling most of the house by 12PM – sincerest thanks to all who came (especially the RedBull marketing team for providing the drinks and support), and I hope to see you all at the next event! Home ownership is one of the most essential aspects of a successful and enduring community and volunteers just like you help make working families realize this dream – great job!

This Saturday, April 25th, had one of the most motivated volunteer groups (representing both Habitat Young Professionals and Hands on Charlotte), allowing us to finish the roof sheathing almost 4 hours before the assigned deadline – sincerest thanks to all who came, and I hope to see you at the next event! Huge leaps were made in the development of AIDS and HIV medicine in the last decade, and it could not have happened without the commitment and dedication of scientist, doctors, politicians, parents, siblings, neighbors and of course, selfless volunteers who give their time and resources to this great cause. Every walk makes a difference!

Thanks to all who came to support Habitat for Humanity, Charlotte, on Saturday, January 31st! It always surprises me how many volunteers give up their warm beds for a cold morning of brisk and often painful labor. Of course, I never heard anyone complain, and it’s incredibly motivating.

This Saturday had one of the biggest turn outs yet, with participants from several corporations and local banks (Bank of America, Wachovia, etc.) – that’s exactly the type of support that this organization needs the most in light of current economical developments. …
